It scares me that we seem to be putting a lot more focus into league tables and results; that's not what this school's about. It's about giving people a chance and they do come right in the end. CH does create rogues, but loveable ones.

This is such a problem for churches - my local church, where I was Warden until recently, has theft cover for the roof lead - but it will only pay £5,000 a year - if all the lead was taken then it will cost at least £120,000! On top of that as a Grade 1 listed building we are not allowed to do anything to it! Applications to glaze the porch have been refused and then the committee that looks at plans told us the porch is too cold and windy! We have a regular congregation of 70 and the costs of running this church are nearly to much for us to cover.
