I used to quite like the marmite fritters - just as long as they had jam on them (strange what we eat when we're young!). Don't remember spam fritters though!

Yes - however absurd marmite fritters may have been as the core of a main meal, they did at least taste quite nice, unlike so much else in Dining Hall.
Attila's spam fritters may be a memory from primary school days, rather than from CH - I wasn't sure.
I can remember both spam and marmite fritters and I agree they were amongst the better fare from Dining Hall!
