Spam, spam, spam

AT this year's Glastonbury Festival, Attila the Stockbroker (John "Basil" Baine, LaB 68-75) takes the mickey out of unsolicited emails, with a sideswipe at the spam fritters he had to eat at school (2½ minutes):

I used to quite like the marmite fritters - just as long as they had jam on them (strange what we eat when we're young!). Don't remember spam fritters though!

Yes - however absurd marmite fritters may have been as the core of a main meal, they did at least taste quite nice, unlike so much else in Dining Hall.

Attila's spam fritters may be a memory from primary school days, rather than from CH - I wasn't sure.

I can remember both spam and marmite fritters and I agree they were amongst the better fare from Dining Hall!
